Scotiabank Nuit Blanche 2015: Galciology

Produced by Anandam Dancetheatre

Choreography: Brandy Leary

Sonic Composition: James Bunton

Exhibition of Work of Wind

A glacier composed of 50 human bodies slowly sweeps the city for 12 continuous hours as part of curator Christine Shaw’s exhibition The Work of Wind. Glaciology examines the permanent effects of human and ecological disruptions in the converging wakes of colonialism, globalization, wars and unsustainable economies by overlapping and contrasting these images with the indelible power of glacial movements across landscapes.

Off The Wall - Project by Frog in Hand

Off the Wall is a collaborative performance event that brings together up to twenty artists: dancers, musicians, actors and visual artists. These artists are put in multidisciplinary teams and create work for specific locations at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. Artist teams are allotted a small, intense time to create original works which they then present on July 1st, Canada Day. All performances and site-specific work is free of charge and fully integrated into the Living Arts Centre’s Canada Day celebrations.

Toronto Nuit Blanche 2014: Kalos Eidos

Kalos Eidos (KE) was inspired by the hypnotizing visual evolution of a kaleidoscope and its dependence on human interaction. The objective of which was to create a conversation between sight and touch within a site specific installation hosted at the corner of Dufferin and Bloor.

KE was a designated Scotiabank Nuit Blanche Independent Project and was designed to accommodate collaboration. Through the artistic direction of Kate Hogg and Gabriella Borg, the installation featured the work of over 40 independent artists.
